I’m not quite sure what’s sparking this new trend but have you noticed the detergent Tide being sold on the side of the roads in Houston? I stumbled on this scene in north Houston where a booth had been set up just of the north freeway and a man was selling Tide. I’m not sure if the sells are sanctioned by Proctor and Gamble but apparently business is brisk. A call to the maker of Tide has not been returned yet but I will get to the bottom of this new trend in our city!

Tide is being sold roadside across the city. 288 and almeda genoea and even at a yard sale off 610 and calais road. $40 for a big bucket or a bag. Is this real Tide or a knockoff ?
Yes, I looked at the offering and I notice that the tide package appears to be in Chinese! We all know that some of the items that come from China contain levels of lead that are hazardous. I definitely am not willing to risk my health to save some money.
Thanks but no thanks!
This is what cities like NY or LA call globalization or international trade, brands are worldwide just an example , colgate Palmolive has operation in more than 50 countries. That mean than Anything made outside of US are fake????
It’s counterfeit detergent. CBP started seizing shipments of this from China in 2011. Anyone who sees this happening should under NO circumstance buy any and contact your local law enforcement agency or customs and border control.
Who buys detergent off the side of the road? That’s so ghetto. If some dude is sitting on the side of the road with a PILE OF LAUNDRY DETERGENT for sale (and cheaper than seems usual) people know that it’s either fake or more than likely STOLEN from a trailer somewhere. Normal people just don’t buy this stuff. Next you will be hearing about the strange rashes breaking out in those areas where this stuff is being sold. Don’t folks…….just don’t.
Y is it being seized is it a knock off or what
