CITY CONTROLLER RONALD GREEN CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORY MONTH!

Dozens of people showed up in the city of Houston Rotunda Wednesday afternoon for an important reason.

They were there to celebrate Black History month with City Controller Ronald Green.

Several key city officials attended the event to recognize the achievements of African Americans in history and across the country.

One of the honorees at the event was former Houston City Attorney Anthony Hall.

He says it’s good to see the annual celebration has gone from a day when he was in school to a full month in 2013.

Hall also says, “we have made progress…but who we are is still being defined.”

Hall went on to say we should remember what brought us this far.

Some others who attended the noon ceremony are: City Council members Wanda Adams and Larry Green…also HPD Police Chief Charles McClelland and Georgia Provost and many more!
