Dozens of people showed up in the city of Houston Rotunda Wednesday afternoon for an important reason.
Several key city officials attended the event to recognize the achievements of African Americans in history and across the country.
He says it’s good to see the annual celebration has gone from a day when he was in school to a full month in 2013.
Hall also says, “we have made progress…but who we are is still being defined.”
Hall went on to say we should remember what brought us this far.
