Willow brook Church had its first Veteran appreciation evening October 20th 2012 for all veterans past and present, families, and friends. We had a great response but we want to do more and reach more in 2013 not as a church but men and women who serve GOD. We or thankful for the service these men/women have given for us to be able to be free. Veterans Day will be Monday November 11th so we would like to hold our 2013 event Saturday November 9th.
We partnered with Operation Finally Home and plan on doing so again in 2013 all proceeds and donations go to them.
We need and would like your support so hears the deal. We or going to have a cook-off between the church’s a friendly but fierce competition those who think they or the best at cooking brisket, ribs, chicken breasts, and chili, trophies will be presented that evening during the entertainment break, you do not have to have a 18 wheeler pit a little smoky in the right hands can deliver a great rack of ribs.
Competition food will be cooked and judged around 3pm Saturday the food and entertainment for the servicemen/women, families and friends will start 6pm food 7pm entertainment.
We or asking each team to cook food for the evening:
Example 300 people have tickets to attend the evening event (No charge for tickets will explain later when we meet) 300 people we have 10 teams this means each team should cook enough to serve 30 people, easy enough.
We wait on the servicemen/women, families and friends hand an foot the evening is for them thanking each one for their service, their children’s service, grandfathers service, etc. If anyone from your church would like to help serve contact
