It was time to cut the ribbon today at a company that has left California for Texas. Dozens of people were on hand for the grand opening on the new Waste Connections Facility just north of Pearland. WC provides waste and recycling services around the country. Vice President of Finance Mary Anne Whitney says they moved to Texas from California because of the business friendly environment. Corporate headquarters for the company is located in the Woodlands where 85% of the employees from California also relocated.
