It was earlier this week when Fox 26 news first reported there was a suspect in the brutal death of a dog in Harris County.

Now, investigators have officially charged and arrested 26 year old Jacob Maurice Davis.

Detectives say he was captured on video tape July 13th throwing a white and brown dog into the sewer on Ella Crossing Drive.

A necropsy also revealed the dog was stabbed three times and was alive when it was set on fire allegedly by Davis.

That terrier we’ve learned was owned by Davis’ mother and was named Roscoe.

Investigators say Davis told them he killed the animal because it was getting on his nerves.

The 26 year old’s mother also told Harris County Fire Marshal investigators she feared for her life around her son.

Davis has been charged with cruelty to animals and is being held in the Harris County jail on the felony case.
