The Harris County Attorney’s Office has won a permanent injunction and final judgement against a downtown gas station many call a haven for crime.
The Texaco also known as the Tigermart on Fannin was the subject of a lawsuit brought by the County Attorney’s office.
Investigators say since 2011 there have been more than 30 crimes committed on and around the property of the Texaco.
It’s located right across from the Greyhound bus station.
Assistant County Attorney Laura Cahill says a judge has ordered the owner of the store to hire two certified peaces officers to patrol the business from 8 am til 3 am each day.
Cahill says the station has been officially declared a common nuisance because of ongoing problems with crack sells, robbery, and prostitution.
We have not been able to reach the owner of the store for a comment.
