It was back in 2008 when the very powerful and prominent company Royce Homes went under.
As a result of a tough economic climate the company laid off dozens of workers and shut its doors.
Royce also had a charitable arm called Royce Foundation for Youth.
The entity provided college scholarships for young people in the community.
Because of the collapse of the homebuilding business officials with the Foundation claimed their bank account was raided by Royce execs.
Royce Foundation has been suing the builder for four years and counting.
Attorneys representing the Foundation say the charity was raided to the tune of $400,000 during the final days of Royce.
The case is expected to go to trial next week in 125th Harris County Civil court.
