Students, teachers, and other support staff are returning back to Spring High school this morning after a deadly week.


Those students are being met with intense security and metal detectors.

This is after a stabbing that left 17 year old Joshua Broussard dead and 17 year old Luis Alfaro charged with murder.

A source from social media shared the first posted photo above. It shows a long line inside the school as students pass through a metal detector.

The Spring ISD police department has also launched a gang unit to address some of the ongoing conflicts in the school.

Note: Apparently, students are also getting a stamp on their wrists indicating they have gone through the metal detectors. (See photo below)

    Why is spring only taking these measures for one school, when they have violence in the whole district?

    Yes, I was so worry about my grandson DILLON FAIRBANKS..I live in PALACIOS TX,I when I got home from work I seen it on the news..i just give thanks to god that my grandson made it alive..i feel so sad for that boy that lost his life.i will be praying for him and his family.and I will be praying for the other people that got stab..we all need to get together and stop blameing the school..its not the school..we need to teach our kids how to act when they get mad.fighing and stabbing and shotting its not the way..let pray for all ,all our schools…thank you so much ,,,DIANA GAYTAN,PALACIOS,TX

    This should have been done when it was voted yes to have them put for it could of saved to children’s lives…..
