MONTGOMERY COUNTY DETECTIVE GETS COMMENDATION FOR HELPING SOLVING $500,000 JEWELRY HEIST!

Press Release: On today’s date, December 3, 2013, Detective Chad May received a commendation in reference to his investigation into an aggravated robbery that occurred June 17, of this year.  The robbery had taken place at a Jared’s Jewelry Store in the 1400 block of Lake Woodlands Drive, in The Woodlands, Texas.   

As a result of information shared between Detective May and investigators of the Houston Police Department, approximately $500,000 worth of merchandise was recovered and several arrests were made.   

Detective May received the commendation at the Houston Police Department Headquarters located at 1200 Travis, in the city of Houston.  In attendance were representatives from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Houston Police Department, and representatives from Jared Jewelry Stores.   

Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland commented on how information sharing between the Houston Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office helped solve the violent aggravated robbery case.  

Representatives from Jared Jewelers presented Detective Chad May with a plaque recognizing the work of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Unit and a check for $1000.00 to be donated to the Montgomery County Law Enforcement Association in his name.
