The Factor has learned a Galveston County grand jury has indicted a League City man for the death of his elderly murder.
55 year old John Scott Timler is accused of stabbing his mother to death last year and then burying her body in the backyard of her home.
Joyce Timler first disappeared back in June.
League City Police got involved after receiving a call from the elderly woman’s bank.
Detective Corey Byer says workers at Amegy Bank became suspicious when Timler’s name was forged on several checks.
Byer says when officers arrived at her home they smelled a foul order and noticed someone had dug a hole in the backyard.
Timler’s son, John Scott, was living in the house at the time.
It was later determined Joyce Timler was buried in that hole behind her home after being stabbed multiple times.
John Timler was initially convicted on forgery charges and now he’s been slapped with the murder of his mother.
He’s already in prison serving time for the bank related crime.
