A digital billboard campaign has been launched offering a reward for the capture of one of Kansas City’s most wanted fugitives. Cray Eugene Williams, a 26 year-old Missouri native, is wanted on federal drug trafficking charges. Williams fled Kansas City after a federal warrant was issued for his arrest on November 9, 2012. It is now believed Williams may be hiding out in the Greater Houston Area of Texas.
In an aggressive effort to bring Williams to justice, the FBI is partnering with Clear Channel Outdoor and Crime Stoppers of Houston. Starting today, digital billboards located throughout Houston and Harris County, Texas will publish Williams’ photograph and advertise a reward in the case. Crime Stoppers of Houston will pay up to $5000 for information that leads to the location and arrest of Williams.
A Federal Grand Jury in the United States District Court, Western District of Missouri, charged Williams with conspiracy to distribute marijuana. So far, Williams has evaded capture and FBI agents need the public’s help to bring him to justice. Investigators believe Williams may have considerable assets from his illegal activities and may be utilizing counterfeit identities in an attempt to elude capture. Williams has children, relatives, friends and associates in the Houston area. He has been known to visit the Katy, Cypress and Spring suburbs of Houston, Texas. He also has ties to Las Vegas, Nevada; Los Angeles, California; and Kansas City, Missouri.
Cray Eugene Williams is described as a Black male, 26 years old, 5’9”, 220 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He has tattoos on both hands, both wrists, and the letters “MGB” tattooed on his neck. Several photographs of Williams and mock-ups of two Clear Channel Outdoor digital billboards that each depict a different photograph are attached to this press release. Because Williams has been known to change his appearance, Clear Channel will rotate between the two different designs.
