DUO ARRESTED FOR A STRING OF ROBBERIES IN WEST HARRIS COUNTY!

Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested and charged suspect Steven Cleveland on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, in a series of robberies in west Harris County this week. Also arrested was Tamika Jordan.

Around 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, deputies received a call for service at the Walmart at 1313 Fry Road. The suspect was seen walking into the store and up to one of the registers. While at the register, the suspect grabbed one of the employees, ran behind the counter and grabbed some money out of the register and ran out of the store. The suspect ran to a vehicle and fled the scene.

Around 4:33 a.m. that same morning, deputies also responded to a robbery at the Stripes convenience store at 21751 Clay Road. The clerk stated a man had entered the store and approached the counter pretending to buy a candy bar. When the clerk opened the register, the suspect jumped over the counter, pushed the clerk and took money from the register. The suspect grabbed packs of cigarettes and threatened the clerk before running out of the store.

Cleveland was arrested later that morning after deputies in the area observed his vehicle driving erratically and conducted a traffic stop.

Steven Cleveland has been charged with 2 counts of robbery with bodily injury and robbery threats. Tamika Jordan has been charged with robbery with bodily injury and robbery threats.
