When undercover HCSO deputies completed a series of anti-prostitution stings last week that netted 61 arrests, they found that five of those charged had extensive criminal records in Harris County. The operation was aimed at men who pay money for sex and women who sell their bodies for sex.
Together, the five charged with prostitution in the January sting operation previously included robbery, burglary, drunken driving, prostitution, evading arrest, indecency with a child and more. No information was immediately available on whether the 56 other defendants have criminal records outside the county.
The five are:
Steven Gabriel, born Dec. 6, 1964
Peaches Hamilton, born March 5, 1982
Timothy Janik, born Feb. 26, 1977
Carlos Manzanares, born March 2, 1986
Vakia Saulsberry, born Sept. 30, 1984
