Hundreds of people packed into the Bayou City Event Center Saturday night to party with a purpose. The Houston Chapter of Links Incorporated held their annual fundraiser to send young people to college. The Boots and Bling attracted the who’s who from all over Houston. There was live music, food, and drinks for those who also placed their bids on dozens of auction items. Some of the people I ran into at the event: Ronald Green, Terance and Diedra Fontaine, Erin Anthony, Dana Davis, Borris & Cydonni Miles, Larry Green, Wanda Adams, and many more.
More about the Links: The Houston Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was organized in 1951 by Dr. Thelma Patten Law who invited thirteen other civic conscious friends to comprise the charter membership.
We have been committed to promoting and engaging in educational, civic and the intercultural activities for the benefit of the community over the past six decades.
It is our hope that the efforts our chapter has made over the past 60 years have earned the image of steadfast dedication to the service of others and improving the quality of life for all.
