Residents in Houston’s Acres Homes are concerned about a potential fee they could be slapped with in the near future.
Houston City Councilman Jerry Davis says BARC is considering a policy change that would charge those who have livestock on their property an annual permitting fee.
Right now Davis, who is still trying to inform the public, says that fee could be $50 annually per property.
That’s of special concern to those who live in Acres Homes because many of the residents have livestock on their property like horses.
Davis says nothing is on stone just yet and a special Council committee is exploring the issue.
