A Houston woman has been arrested after pocketing the drive thru window cash at a local Jack in the Box.
A spokesperson with the Houston Police Department says 35 year old Lynell Wright was arrested for theft while working at the San Felipe fastfood location.
Investigators say she kept the Discover card of a customer and used in a scheme to pocket cash.
Keese Smith with HPD says Wright would use the stolen credit card to pay for drive thru sales and pocket the money when customers used cash.
Smith says the petty crime netted Wright at least $130 and a second arrest.
She’s charged with misdemeanor theft in that case.
This comes 6 years after Wright was arrested for allegedly stealing from Kirkland’s where she worked as a clerk.
Court records show in that scheme she issued refunds to her own credit card and a Visa prepaid card.
