Galveston County Sheriff Henry Trochesset says he believes he has the man responsible for the double murder of Brittney Cosby and Crystal Jackson.
The Sheriff says blood and other evidence were found in Cosby’s home in Houston where they went to interview him Wednesday.
Trochesset says his investigators initially wanted to just talk with Cosby but when they observed what was in his home they obtained a warranr at 4 in the morning.
Sheriff Trochesset says Cosby was recently released from prison in October and is a registered sex offender.
Court records show Cosby sexually assaulted a 22 year old woman back in 1994.
Right now he’s only charged with two counts of tampering with evidence but the Sheriff says he will likely be charged with murder.
Currently Cosby is being held on two $500,000 bonds.
Sheriff Trochesset would not say why Cosby hasn’t been charged with murder just yet.
It was last week when Jackson and Cosby were found dead near a convenience store at Port Bolivar.
The Sheriff also says the couple’s 2006 Kia Sorrento is still missing.
