In an effort to aid in the investigation, Lakewood Church and Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering an increased reward of $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the recent break-in and theft.
On March 10, 2014 Houston Police officers were called at 8:30am by a member of the church staff to report the crime. Lakewood Church is located in the 3700 block of the Southwest Freeway. Investigators believe the theft occurred sometime between 2:30pm on March 9th and 8:30am on March 10th.
The suspect or suspects stole cash, checks, and credit card vouchers and investigators believe someone out there has vital information that could lead to an arrest. Investigators say a person involved in this crime may have disposed of the checks and credit card information because they had no use for them. Lakewood Church says it has turned over all its’ information to the Houston Police Department and has no further comment at this time.
