The Factor is hearing from Houston police officers that they have been told to get a handle on the homeless population around City Hall.

On any given day a large crowd of homeless individuals can be found gathering around the Bagby street governmental building.

It has left some City Hall workers and visitors nervous by the group that shows up in the mornings and just hang around the reflection pond through the night.

Officers also say they have been told to keep their eyes open for a specific car near City Hall.

They say the driver is a gang member who is suspected of selling the synthetic drug kush to the homeless.

The Houston Police Department has also been asked to provide more officers to patrol the building to prevent drug dealing and violence.

A spokesperson for HPD is looking into this issue in hopes of getting a response from the department!
