If you’d ask anyone from Waltrip High School they’d likely say he was a legend in the making and true leader.
That’s why the loss of Houston educator Milton Dailey is so tough for so many in the Waltrip community.
Coach Dailey, as most know him, died Wednesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He also suffered a stroke back in April according to published reports.
Dailey, who retired this year, served as assistant coach for 10 seasons at Waltrip before he was appointed to the position of head football coach in 2012.
He guided the Rams to the UIL Class 4A playoffs in 2012 and 2013.
Waltrip was a proud graduate of Booker T. Washington High and Prairie View A&M.
Funeral details for ‘Coach’ have not been released as of yet but the Factor will keep you updated.
Condolences to the Dailey family at home and at HISD!
