ANAHUAC HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL BLAST OFF INTO SPACE!

Call it a major accomplishment for a group of former students at Anahuac High School.

It’s where Coach Kirk Moore’s Engineering Design class was chosen to build an actual rocket.

The students began the project while seniors at the school last year.  They have since graduated and completed the flying machine.

Coach Moore says the rocket can fly as high as 20 miles above the Earth while carrying a 35 pound payload.

The rocket’s specs and design were actually approved by NASA and the blast off is scheduled for July 30th at White Sands Missile range.

Moore says the actual launch will be supervised by the US Army.

Congratulations to coach and his students.
