Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Police Department request the public’s assistance in solving a hit and run involving a bicyclist. On June 5th at approximately 10:00 pm, a 34 year old man was riding his bicycle in the 2000 block of Richmond Avenue when a vehicle traveling down the street hit him. The drive of the vehicle initially stopped at the scene and called 911. When the Houston Fire Department EMS personnel arrived, the driver was gone. The bicyclist was transported to a hospital tor treatment. Houston Police tell us he sustained a concussion and a broken arm.
There is not description of the vehicle or the driver who fled the scene. Anyone who was in the vicinity of the 2000 block of Richmond Avenue near South Shepherd and may have seen the accident or may have information on the suspect in this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of wanted fugitives.
