It was back in February when CVS Pharmacy announced news that sent shockwaves in the industry.

The chain store announced they would end cigarette sales at its stores around the country.

If you walk into any of their businesses now you’ll notice two things happening behind the counter.

The shelves in the cigarette section are nearly empty and there are discounts for the remaining smokes as high as $3.00 off per pack.

It was also recently revealed the company will take a $2 billion annual loss as a result of ending their cigarette sales near the end of the year in October.
