First Assistant District Attorney Phil Grant in Montgomery County has called a 1 pm press conference today on Adrian Peterson.
Friday the agency refused to talk because Peterson was not in custody at the time.
One of the issues the District Attorney’s office will likely address is the two grand jury issue involving Adrian Peterson.
Grant tells Fox 26 news while Peterson’s injury to a child case was taken to two grand juries…both weren’t in Montgomery County.
Grant says one of the grand juries was in Harris County and when prosecutors there realized the case happened in Montgomery County it was transferred.
Grant says it appears his office was shopping for an indictment when in fact the case was before the wrong grand jury and that’s why it was eventually presented to a Montgomery County panel.
That press conference is scheduled for 1 pm in Conroe.
As you already know Peterson, with the Minnesota Vikings, was indicted this week in Montgomery County, Texas on an injury to a child charge.
