Since the shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson there has been an outcry from activist around the country for uniform cameras on police officers. It’s a pilot program Houston Police Chief Charles McClelland kicked off a year ago. Houston’s top cop says he would also like to see cameras on more uniforms but he simply doesn’t have the money in his budget. McClelland says the cost to equip officers with the cameras will be $8 million dollars and it will be up to Mayor Annise Parker and the City Counil to come up with the money.
