The Factor has learned there is an Office of Inspector General investigation underway at the Houston Emergency Center.
Our sources say this probe centers on possible time card fraud, employees’ background checks, and the unauthorized use or abuse of city issued credit cards called P-Cards.
This investigation by the Office of Inspector General has already resulted in the termination of a high ranking official at HEC center back in July.
The city employee union – HOPE – confirms some of their members may be a target in the probe.
Janice Evans with the Mayor’s office declined to comment on the OIG probe.
