Montgomery County prosecutors confirm jury selection got underway Monday in the trial of State Representative Ron Reynolds.
He was indicted in March of 2013 on barratry charges.
Essentially it’s ambulance chasing.
Reynolds was indicted with several others accused of paying kickbacks to another defendant for finding traffic accident cases in Montgomery County.
The state rep, who’s up for re-election, faces ten felony charges in the case.
Prosecutors also say he did not accept a plea agreement that was on the table back in October.
There’s no word how long the trial will last in Conroe.
