Democracy Figures across America, Demand that the Newly Elected U.S. Congress pass what is called “The Voting Rights Act 2.0” or pass even stronger legislation, in order to ward off any additional dilution of The Original Voting Rights Act of 1965.

“America must show her greatness, if the current apathy, distrust and manipulation of Voters Rights continue to exist. We must as a people unite and say with one voice that impeding what the Amendments to U.S. Constitution say and mean with respect Voters Rights are taboo. So we must act on the erosion of the Voter Rights Act of 1965 starting right now.”- (Mr. Ovide Duncantell founder and Executive Director of The Black Heritage Society Houston Texas.)

Houston, TX – The Black Heritage Society will be holding a press conference this Thursday January 15 2014 at 2:00 pm. The press conference will be held on The Houston MLK Memorial Plaza located at 5018 Calhoun Rd. on the corner of MLK Blvd at Old Spanish Trail Houston Texas 77021.

“We agonize over the fact that too many people, young and old, do not believe in the importance of nor the value of their vote. The Voting Rights Act of 1965 is a much coveted document all over the world. We encourage others to join us as we reflect on the passage of the 50th Anniversary of The Voting Rights Act in 1965, as we move forward and learn from those who laid down their very lives for this cause”. –Stated by Sir Andrew Okokher founder of All Dream Foundation, in America and the Continent of Africa.

The Black Heritage Society and others stand in solidarity with the Congressional Black Caucus and others who strongly urge the U.S. Congress and President Obama to get this issue resolved, pass and sign V.R.A. 2.0 post haste. Concerns and Solutions will be discussed during the press conference.
