Tom Abrahams, Houston television anchor and reporter, has signed a three novella deal with Amazon publishing.
Together, the three stories are a 325 page post-apocalyptic thriller, based on the Perseid Collapse Series written by bestselling author Steven Konkoly. They complement Konkoly’s five book series, but they are stand alone stories with their own characters and plot.
Amazon asked Abrahams to participate in Konkoly’s new “Kindle World”, in which tightly-controlled fan fiction expands upon the story lines of existing works.
His stories, CROSSING, REFUGE, and ADVENT, are available now for Amazon Kindle devices and the Amazon Kindle app on phones, tablets, and laptops. All three are currently among the Kindle Worlds best sellers in the Mystery/Thriller/Suspense genre.
“Given Amazon’s influence in the publishing industry,” said Abrahams, “this was a really unique opportunity to expose my writing to readers who hadn’t heard of my work. Amazon has an amazing platform, Kindle Worlds is growing in popularity, and I’m thankful to be part of the launch of the Perseid Collapse world.”
The deal with Amazon comes three months after Abrahams signed a three novel deal with Post Hill Press, an independent publisher based in NY and Nashville.
ALLEGIANCE BURNED, the sequel to his Texas-based political thriller ALLEGIANCE, will be available in paperback and as an ebook August 25. HIDDEN ALLEGIANCE, the third book in the trilogy, will be available December 22.
INTENTION, the sequel to his bestselling political novel, SEDITION (more than 6,000 copies sold), will be released in 2016.
