Original Invitation from Bob Martin / Accountant to the Stars:

Many of you have frequented one, two or maybe all of Bill Sadler’s establishments over his decades of “Houston’s Best Barkeep” (according to Dick Murray).

Many a drink has been imbibed, spilled, splashed, tossed or pounded off the table to the ceiling at Bill’s retreats: River Café, Café Noche, Beso, the Moose/Blue Agave and, currently, Arturo’s.

Once again, it’s time for Bill to retire. Yes, he was made an offer for Arturo’s that he couldn’t refuse and will close his “outside the Loop” establishment this Saturday.

Alumni or first-timers are invited to help drink down Bill’s inventory so that he doesn’t have to lift all those heavy cases when he closes.

This Friday, February 27; 6 to 10 p.m. on Arturo’s patio (it will be warmer, right?).
