The Montgomery County Bar Association (MCBA) gives ten Scholarships to Montgomery County high school seniors. Over the last several months, MCBA Scholarship Applications were sent to all high schools in Montgomery County, Texas. Over 50 high school senior students/candidates submitted applications.

The MCBA Scholarship Committee then narrowed the applications to 14 candidates. These 14 candidates were then interviewed by the
Scholarship Committee over several days. At the conclusion of the interviews, the Committee awarded ten $1,000
scholarships to ten different students. When the students receive their first 2015-16 college tuition bill, the MCBA will
mail a check to their College or University.

The MCBA scholarship awards were based on academics, extra-curricular activities, community service, financial
need, and interest in pursuing a career in the legal field (although not a requirement). Those receiving the scholarships

great county.
