FOX 26 news has learned tonight the principal of Westbury high school is also the subject of a criminal investigation.
As you know Jason Catchings was fired by HISD Board of Trustees Thursday evening.
But we have also learned the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Public Integrity Unit is also investigating Catchings.
Now, our reliable source tells fox 26 news if there are charges Catchings may not be the only one who goes down.
We’re told the embattled principal presented proof to investigators in the form of emails that a higher up at HISD ordered him to chang the grades of several students at Westbury.
The stumbling block investigators face is there is no policy at HISD to address grade fixing according to our source.
Those looking into the case are trying to find a way to proceed with possible criminal charges.
