Fox 26 news has learned an event celebrating the opening of the new light rail line will cost $400,000.
But the good news is the public transportation company says the cost of the celebration on May 23rd won’t come out of your pocket.
Jerome Gray with Metro says the funds were raised through private donations which inclcludes some contractors who worked on the light rail line.
The cost to bring in top shelf acts like Ne-Yo and Frankie J is $100,000 alone.
The weekend celebration is also free and open to the public.
