Friday night dozens of people came out in Missouri City to remember and celebrate the life of Lawrence E. Jackson by raising money to send more kids to college.
The event was held at the Missouri City Country Club.
The Lawrence Edward Jackson, II Foundation was organized as a 501(c) (3) charitable organization to assist eligible students pursue their dreams to study music. The Foundation honors
the life of Lawrence E. Jackson, II, the son of Hazel and Lawrence Jackson. Lawrence was a graduate of the Fort Bend Independent School District in Texas and Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. From the age of five, Lawrence had an extraordinary love and appreciation of
Lawrence was a graduate of Southern University and was a member of the “Human
Jukebox” Band thought his college career. Lawrence had a servant’s heart and could usually be
found helping others less fortunate than him.
