THE EDWARD THOMAS BUILDING OR NOT?

The battle will continue again this week to name the Houston Police Department’s headquarters in downtown Houston.  There’s an item on the agenda to name the building after longtime retired HPD officer Edward Thomas.

The hold out is Houston City Councilman C.O. Bradford who would like to name the building after former Houston Mayor Lee Brown.  Last week when the issue was up for a vote Bradford tagged it causing a one week delay.  The council could decide this week if the item gets back on the agenda.
