DUMB MOVE OF THE WEEK… DID YOU REALLY TAKE DRUGS TO A JAIL WHILE VISITING AN INMATE?

Monday, July 6, 2015, at approximately 9:00 PM, a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Canine unit gave a positive alert on a vehicle that was parked near the inmate visitation area, at the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Justice Center, located at #1 Criminal Justice Drive, in Conroe, Texas.  The driver of the vehicle was visiting an inmate that was housed at the Montgomery County Jail.  When the driver returned to his vehicle, the vehicle was searched by the Special Investigations Unit Deputy.  The Deputy located and seized approximately 77 grams of, “Ice”, methamphetamine and an electronic scale.  The suspect was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, “2nd degree felony”.  It was additionally discovered that the suspect was out on bond from Harris County on a possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver charge.  The Special Investigations Unit was assisted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Division.
