The Harris County Medical Examiner has Sandra Blake’s death officially listed as suicide by hanging.
This comes as Texas Rangers are investigating the death of the 28 year old who died while being held at the Waller County jail.
Bland was arrested Friday for assaulting a state trooper during a traffic stop.
This ruling by the medical Examiner does not effect an ongoing investigation into the Prairie View graduate’s death.
Close friends say they just don’t believe Sandy as they call her would take her own life.
LaVaughn Moseley says Bland had just been hired by Prairie View and was set to begin work Monday.
In the meantime, the Factor has learned the FBI is standing by awaiting the completion of the investigation into Bland’s death by the Texas Rangers before they get involved.
Shauna Dunlap with the FBI issued the Factor this statement:
We handle it as we do all similar cases… we will monitor the local investigation until it is complete. Once complete, if warranted, then we could pursue a federal investigation.
FROM HARRIS COUNTY MEDICAL EXAMINER:
Hi Isiah – We only issue confirmed information. Ms. Bland’s autopsy has been completed and her death classified.
The manner of death is Suicide
The cause of death is Hanging
