The Factor has learned the Sheriff of Waller County has continued his effort to keep demonstrators away from the front of the jail.
Not only did Sheriff Glenn Smith have concrete barriers placed in front of the jail but now he’s cut down some trees.
While the department confirmed the installation of a buffer zone there was no mention of trees being cut down until protesters noticed the contractors at work Tuesday.
This comes just days after demonstrators gathered inside the lobby of the jail and things got violent.
A spokesman for the Sheriff says four deputies were injured in the incident.
