The man who was intentionally arrested in honor of Sandra Bland said he didn’t even get to spend 10 hours in jail.
Former Waller County Justice of the Peace Dewayne Charleston was arrested Wednesday morning after criminal trespassing charges at the Waller County jail.
Charleston said he wanted to be arrested to show his support for Bland who died in the county lock up back on July 13th.
The local activist said even before he could get into the Waller jail he was transferred to Grimes County where a stranger posted his bail of $500 about 10 hours later.
Charleston said he wanted to experience what Bland did in the jail before she died.
No word if he will attempt to get himself arrested again!
