On Monday, December 14, 2015, at approximately 1:50 AM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were dispatched to a burglary that was occurring at a business, Extended Stay Motel, in the 150 block of Valleywood Road, in Spring, Texas.

A witness reported observing a male subject forcing entry into vehicles in the parking lot of the hotel.  The witness was able to provide a description of the male suspect, as well as the vehicle that the male suspect was utilizing.  Upon Deputies arriving at the dispatched location, a vehicle fitting the description of the suspect vehicle was witnessed speeding through and exiting out of the parking lot at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle turned south onto the frontage road of Interstate 45.  Deputies proceeded behind the vehicle and activated emergency lights and sirens attempting to stop the vehicle.  The vehicle failed to yield, accelerated to a high rate of speed, and attempting to elude the following patrol vehicles.  The pursuit entered into Harris County and eventually into the City of Houston.  Houston Police Department units assisted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in the vehicle pursuit.  The suspect stopped his vehicle in a parking lot of an apartment complex near Interstate 45 and Airway Drive.  The suspect fled from the vehicle on foot.  A perimeter was set up in the area and a search began for the suspect. 

A Houston Police Department Officer was able to locate an individual believe to be the suspect.  After an investigation, it was confirmed that the individual located was the suspect. 

Several items burglarized out of vehicles at the dispatched location were located inside the suspect vehicle.  These items were later processed and then returned to the owners.

The suspect, Johnny Lee Green, Jr., (date of birth 08/30/1964), was arrested and charged with evading arrest in a motor vehicle and burglary of a motor vehicle.  It was discovered that the suspect had several previous convictions for burglary of a motor vehicle, which enhanced the burglary of a motor vehicle charge.

The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Justice Complex, in Conroe, Texas and booked in on the charges.
