Waller County Sheriff Glenn Smith says he’s giving the former state trooper indicted in the Sandra Bland case until Friday to turn himself in.
As you know Brian Encinia was indicted for perjury by a grand jury Wednesday in the July 2015 death of Bland.
Smith says he thought Encinia would have turned himself in already on the arrest warrant in order to get the process over.
However, Smith says he is willing to grant the man who was fired by DPS yesterday the courtesy of waiting until at least 8:30 am Friday but after that the Sheriff says his patience will wear out.
Smith says Encinia’s bond will be $2500.
