Press Release: On February 18, 2016 at approximately 2:30pm, Pct. 4 Deputy saw a motorcycle w/ a rider speeding 60mph in a 30mph zone on Tram Rd near FM 2090 in Splendora, TX. The deputy tried to stop the motorcycle but it sped away. At the intersection of May Rd and CR 3632 the motorcycle slowed and the passenger jumped off and fell onto the road, rolling a few times. The driver then sped away, but the deputy stopped and assisted the passenger. Other deputies located the motorcycle wrecked on the side of the road in the area of FM 2090 and River Rd. Deputies located the suspect, Michael Hicks hiding in the woods and took him into custody.
The female rider was treated by EMS for her injuries and released at the scene.
