Some Houstonians have found another way to give back and that’s one pair at a time.
Corey Alexander Crear of SNKR Critique held his first monthly sneaker drive in downtown Houston at Dean’s Tuesday night.
Supporters of the event donated more than 70 pair of gently used sneakers and they’re going to those who can truly use them.
Crear says, “it’s giving to someone who’s unable to purchase that on their own and with us doing something for them hopefully that will help them do something positive for yourself.”
Jermaine Patterson also showed up to the event as a sneaker enthusiast. He decided to turn over a pair of shoes because he says it’s the right thing to do.
The shoes collected this month will go to the young people at the Covenant House.
