Houston rapper Slim Thug wants to do more than just give out turkeys to those in need for the holidays.

The businessman and entertainer wants to build on the future by educating and mentoring young people.

Thursday night Slim launched the Boss Life Foundation.

The goal of the non-profit will be to provide scholarships for young people in the community as well as guide them through life’s adversities using mentors.

That effort began with a private rooftop event in The Heights where guests not only dined on barbecue and drinks but were asked to give back as well.

If you missed the event there are several sponsorship packages available for those who are interested in giving back.
