29 year old Conrad Barrett will be in federal court this morning in Houston to face sentencing for what prosecutors call a racist attack.
It was back in 2013 when Barrett went out looking for someone Black to knockout as part of a the then popular knockout game.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Ruben Perez says Barrett found that victim in Katy walking down the street.
That person was a 79 year old African American man who found himself punched in the face and knocked out by Barrett.
The senior citizen was hospitalized and his face left permanently disfigured by the racist attack.
Barrett has entered a guilty plea and will be in federal court Friday morning for his sentencing.
The victim, who spoke with the Factor back in 2014, says he believes Barrett wanted to kill him.
Perez says Barrett’s goal as part of the knockout game was to video tape the attack.
Barrett was charged under the federal hate crime law!
