Here’s the latest update from the corporate spokesman for Krispy Kreme. It appears our favorite donut store won’t make a return to Houston until the end of August. This is despite the company saying July 21st would be the opening date just two weeka ago. I asked about the Highway 6 location and here’s the response I received Wednesday morning from rep Darryl Carr:
construction is still ongoing and we don’t have an opening date set in stone, however, we hope to open towards the end of August. We’ll let you know when the opening date is confirmed.
All we can do at this point is pray for the best. The latest information I’m getting from Krispy Kreme reps is their Houston store is slated to open July 21. Let’s just hope they stick with this date. The grand opening for KK’s return to Houston has been delayed by months for the Highway 6 location.
The Factor is now hearing Krispy Kreme won’t likely open in Houston til the early summer.
A former Krispy Kreme exec says because of construction issues the doors at the donut shop on Highway 6 won’t likely open until June.
This is the third date change for the business that hasn’t had a presence in Houston since 2006.
