DID YOUR FAVORITE BAR OR NIGHTCLUB SHUT DOWN?

PRESS RELEASE: Dozens of bars in the Houston area have been forced to close for good as a result of Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s order shutting down the bars across the state. Dozens more bars across Texas have been forced to close for good as well.

A growing list on the Children of Liberty Facebook page details the dozens of bars already forced to shutdown forever due to strain from the governor’s order, including Wild West Houston. Members of the group, who own or work at a Texas bar, are adding more closures to the list daily. Governor Abbott has yet to announce a date for bars to reopen, leaving the statewide shutdown in place with no end in sight and bar owners in limbo.

Bars across Texas are reopening to save themselves despite the governor’s mandate before the statewide shutdown forces their doors closed for good. Governor Abbott’s mandate has put hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Houstonians and Texans out of work in hopes of controlling the spread of COVID-19. The Texas Department of State Health Services has not released information as to where the virus is spreading.

Below are bars across the state that have closed their businesses permanently due to the ongoing stress of the COVID-19 pandemic and government mandates. Each represents a Texan betrayed and put out of work by their governor. See the damage for yourself:
