
Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 1725 Upland Lakes about 8:45 p.m. on Thursday (April 16).
The suspect, Antoine Loic Tran (A/m, 21), is charged with manslaughter in the 208th State District Court. He is accused for his role in the death of Kevin Le, 21.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Duncan and Detective K. Heaverlo reported:
Tran shot Mr. Le while inside a residence at the above address. Le was initially transported to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was later transferred to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
A preliminary investigation and statements from witnesses and Tran indicated the shooting was accidental. Tran remained at the scene, was taken into custody and subsequently charged in the shooting.
